Micro features in music videos

In the Beyonce video, many micro features are used effectively to engage the audience and make them watch the music video til the end. Beyonce is a role model to many women around the world and is attractive to men that watch this. The video shows how beautiful and athletic these women are. For example in the video, long shots are shown to show their full body. Furthermore, their limited clothing attracts the male attention as it follows Lura Mulvey's Male Gaze and makes the video more interesting.
In the video on the right. Adele uses a lot of common icro features for most of her music videos as her songs are very emotional and dramatic. Camera is used effectively as the shaky cam brings realism to the audience and allows them to feel as if they are there. Editing has a huge impact on the audience as it brings the story together. This allows the audience to understand the storyline of the song.
The fast cuts creates enigma codes in this video for the spectators as they are not able to see what is going on exactly. This allows the spectators to create their own story. The effect this has is that it creates confusion as they dont know what is actually going on which makes it a unique video to watch.
This is mostly like a point of view. The camera shots are mostly of the crowds pint of view. The effect this has on the spectators that it makes them feel as if they are in the video. This creates realism and becomes more engaging as the shots change to various POV shots. It also follows all the conventions of a pop and hip hop genre song. For example, the kid wears Ray Ban sunglasses with a gold chain. This also slightly satirises these conventions which allows the audience to laugh a little.
